Bowen Therapy Centre brings the ultimate techniques and therapies to promote a quick recovery from your injuries and pain.

 What Is The Bowen Technique?
Bowen is a soft tissue therapy and is now widely used as a first choice physical therapy to help with a wide range of conditions. There are no contra - indications which make 'Bowen' a wise choice for any member of your family.
Bowen addresses the WHOLE body, more often than not your area of pain may not be the original site of injury, so for example; think about when you have back pain, do you also get groin pain or knee pain, or with your neck pain do you get sore shoulders, headaches or mid back pain. The original site of injury is where the release is needed so the body can return to correct functioning.
Hence, the importance of addressing the whole body to get to the cause of the pain being experienced, instead of just addressing the symptoms as to where the pain has travelled over time.
Compensation loading is a natural response to injury; to take the weight off the injured leg, or to stop using the injured shoulder through its usual range of movement and so on and so on. But the body can then get 'stuck' into this guarded way of functioning and other areas start to suffer. Then range of movement is reduced.
The Bowen Technique can bring about better function of all the bodily systems that need to work correctly so the body can release and filter toxins away from injury, so the area of malfunction can begin to function, to influence the autonomic nervous system and so the entire body can get to work to achieve homeostasis (balance).
Bowen is safe effective and a gentle treatment and I have personally seen a wide range of people using The Bowen Technique.
