Based overseas, or not able to travel to Lincolnshire 🇬🇧? You can still work with me — options below.

I work with horses using equine manual therapy informed by osteopathic principles. In practice, that means looking at the horse as a whole — posture, movement, workload, history and compensation patterns — rather than focusing only on the area where discomfort shows up.

If travelling to Lincolnshire is not practical, you can still work with me. The options below are simply ways to get the support or training you need, in a format that fits where you are.

Helen Thornton - Equine manual therapy • Osteopathic principles • PEMF

If you are unsure which option fits, complete the short form and I will point you towards the most sensible next step

Host a workshop at your yard (free place for the organiser)

If travelling to Lincolnshire is not practical, you may still be able to take part in training closer to you.

If travelling to Lincolnshire is not practical, it may still be possible to run training closer to you.

Where there is enough interest in one area, I can look at delivering a host-yard day or short workshop locally (UK, and occasionally overseas where a suitable venue and small group can be organised).

Yard owners/organisers: if you host and coordinate the bookings for a minimum group size, I will offer one complimentary place for the organiser (or a nominated member of your yard team).

What I need from you (so I can judge what is realistic):

  • Your location (postcode / area, or country)

  • Who the training is for (owners/riders, therapists/bodyworkers, or mixed)

  • The sort of training you are looking for (1-day, 2-days, longer)

  • An estimate of likely numbers

No commitment — this simply helps me see where interest sits.

1-to-1 Zoom consultation
(owners or therapists)

If you would like a structured conversation about your horse (or a case you are working with), we can do this over Zoom.

It is not a substitute for hands-on assessment, but it can help you make sense of the bigger picture, decide what to prioritise next, and work more effectively alongside your existing team.

We can cover:

  • Horse’s History, management and workload/training context

  • What you are noticing in posture, movement and behaviour

  • Sensible next steps and questions to take to your vet, farrier, dentist, saddle fitter or trainer

  • Where appropriate, a simple home routine to support ease of movement

  • Use the form below and tick “Zoom consultation” — I will reply with options.

Topics you’d like covered (short teaching, Q&A, notes)

What would you like me to cover next?

If there is a topic you would like me to cover — short videos, written notes, or a Q&A — tell me.

I use this to plan what I publish next, and what future training could be most helpful for owners and practitioners.

Examples:

  • Reading common compensation patterns (without getting lost in labels)

  • Pelvis/SI themes, thoracic sling and breathing, TMJ/poll links

  • “What to check first” guides for owners

  • When to involve which professional first (and why)

  • A few lines is plenty — you do not need to write an essay.

Tell me what would help you

This takes about a minute. The more specific you are, the easier it is for me to point you in the right direction.
